Non-Invasive Cosmetic Medical Procredures
Cosmetic surgery and non-surgical cosmetic treatments are becoming more popular in the UK. If you are considering a surgical or non-surgical procedure it is important that you consider your reasons for wanting the procedure, your expectations of the results the procedure may bring, as well as making sure that you have all the information you need to make a properly informed decision about whether to go ahead. We suggest you start by looking at the considering cosmetic surgery? and considering non-surgical cosmetic treatments? pages. These pages give information about the questions you need to ask yourself and the questions you need to ask practitioners to make sure that your are confident in your choice of whether to have a surgical or non-surgical treatment, or no treatment at all.

Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is designed to permanently remove unwanted body hair by using the light energy from a laser.
Unwanted hair is a common problem in women and men. Shaving, waxing, and tweezing only produce temporary results and can generally only be carried out on relatively small areas.
Laser hair removal treatment can be used to permanently treat and remove small and large areas of unwanted hair from the body.
Best results occur in those with light skin and dark hair, and hair removal works better on coarse hair rather than fine hair

Laser Tattoo Removal Devon and Cornwall
Tattoo removal is most commonly performed using lasers that react with the ink in the tattoo, and break it down. The broken-down ink is then absorbed by the body, mimicking the natural fading that time or sun exposure would create. This technique often requires many repeated visits to remove even a small tattoo, and may result in permanent scarring. The newer Q-switched lasers are said by the National Institute of Health to result in scarring only rarely, however, and are usually used only after a topical anaesthetic has been applied. The NIH recognizes five types of tattoo; amateur, professional, cosmetic, medical, and traumatic (or natural). Amateur tattoos are easier and quicker to remove, usually, than professional tattoos. Areas with thin skin will be more likely to scar than thicker-skinned areas. There are several types of Q-switched lasers, and each is effective at removing a different range of the color spectrum.

Botox in Cornwall
There are several factors you should consider before you choose a botox doctor decide to go ahead with any cosmetic procedure, be it surgical or not. A Botox injection doctor will be performing a medical procedure. The seemingly easy way that BOTOX® cosmetic is injected, the success and quick results tend to make one think that it is common. Please keep in mind that BOTOX® treatments should only be administered by a qualified individual that you have researched, just like any other procedure. Choose your BOTOX® injection doctor with care.
Because of the complicated musculature of the human face, potential BOTOX® injection patients should seek a certified practitioner uniquely qualified to perform cosmetic procedures on the face and all areas of the body.

Laser Treatment for to reduce blemishes, fine lines, uneven pigmentation and scars in Devon and Cornwall
These treatments are 'non-ablative' or 'ablative'. This means that the laser beam will remove the top layer of the skin. When the skin heals and grows back it should do so without the blemishes, wrinkles and scars which were previously there.
A local anaesthetic may be used for the treatment and your eyes must be protected with specially designed goggles. The treatment may take up to 30 minutes, and there may be some pain.
The skin care regime in the week following the procedure is demanding and it is extremely important that it is adhered to rigidly. The regime will consist of rigorous cleansing of the skin every 2-3 hours initially and thorough moisturising using prescribed products. The skin post treatment must be protected from the sun.

Thead Vein Treatment
Microsclerotherapy - Thread Veins
Microsclerotherapy involves injection with a very fine, almost invisible needle. Through this an injection of fluid is introduced which sticks the walls of the vein together so that blood cannot return.
The vein walls that have been damaged by the injection are slowly removed by the body's natural defense mechanisms over a period of months. Once the vein has been injected it can take between two weeks and three months for it to completely disappear.
The vast majority of small, clearly visible veins can be sucessfully treated. Several sessions may be needed depending on the extent of the thread veins. This safe and effective treatment has been used on hundreds of thousands of patients around the world.
